Airhart Construction Introduces Wesley Place

New enclave of five homes in downtown Wheaton

Neighborhood features flexible home designs, front porches and courtyards

Busy people seeking low maintenance living in a thriving downtown area need look no further than Wesley Place single family homes in Wheaton. Wesley Place is Airhart Construction’s latest community located at the northwest corner of West and Wesley Streets in downtown Wheaton.

Wesley Place home designs are brand new to the marketplace and are the result of extensive research by Airhart Construction to determine what people truly want in a new home in a walkable, centrally located downtown area. Wesley Place offers something new in low maintenance living for people who want, well thought-out living spaces.

“Wesley Place offers the best of both worlds:  Quality-built, comfortable homes with luxury amenities for people on-the-go. Their weekends do not want to be spent on lawn maintenance and upkeep but on exploring their community and enjoying family and friends,” said Court Airhart, president of Airhart Construction. “Wesley Place buyers focus is not having the most square footage and a large backyard, but having a home in a downtown location that supports their busy lifestyle with luxury home amenities with low to no maintenance,” he added.

Wesley Place is located two blocks from the Metra West St. Station (at Front St.) and the Illinois Prairie Path is located on the south side of the tracks as is the French Market. Summer concerts are offered weekly in the Memorial Park band shell one block from Wesley Place, convenient to the city’s tennis courts. Numerous restaurants and convenience shopping are also within walking distance such as Gino’s East, Adele’s, Ivy, Suzette’s Creperie, Egg Harbor, Starbucks and many others.

All five homes face West Street and have a rear brick courtyard area with a pocket garden. There is a two-car detached garage and a parking spot behind the garage for a third car. The private courtyard offers an option for a screened-in porch or an outside fireplace.

All Wesley Place homes are unattached and a Homeowners Association takes care of the lawn maintenance and snow removal. Homeowners are free to tend their private garden that is adjacent to the courtyard with each home.

“Wesley Place prospective homeowners are more interested in downtown living than living in an outlying neighborhood which makes it necessary to drive to most conveniences. They may have dual incomes and no children or small children; or have older children with possibly an older child still living at home. The common life theme is they are on-the-go and Wesley Place meets their needs for a low maintenance, luxury home in the heart of town,” said Airhart.

Wesley Place homes average 2,800 square feet in size and feature three bedrooms, three and one-half baths and a two-car garage. The three-level residences offer a variety of flexibility and customization that the builder is known for within the home footprint. An on-staff architect assists all homeowners with options and customization. For example, on the main level there is the kitchen and breakfast area, powder room, great room, and dining area that can be configured in multiple ways. There is also a screen porch option available on this level and on the second level overlooking the courtyard.

The second level features a master bedroom and bath with custom walk-in shower and a secondary bedroom and bath. The top level has a loft that can be used for a home office or hobby area. The top level has an additional bedroom and bath and can accommodate an optional roof terrace that overlooks the courtyard below.

All homes feature front porches and cedar exterior architecture available in a variety of colors with brick and stone accents designed specifically to blend well with the surrounding area of older homes. Wesley Place home prices are expected to start from the upper $700s. Sales and construction on the first home for sale will begin in August with first move-ins expected in early summer 2017.
